By the riverside
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
She waddles her feet
idle in the waters, gently
lingering aimlessly, thoughts
wavering
occasionally a bubble on
the surface
but that too dies out eventually
By the riverside, a peaceful
unmoved world.
She stares blankly at her
face
a million thoughts, so diverse
yet so similar, they form
a face.
A little gush from the waters
distorts her face.
What an array of diversities,
frightens her young naive
soul.
By the riverside, comes
a little wind.
She sees no more now but
a rush
like a million logs sucked
away
hastily from the water flow.
Cold and distorted,
a dead flower passes by
She scoops it up, cradling
it
sweet leftover fragrances
tell of stories
of how they arise and fell
But we all fall someday
we all fall sometimes.
By the riverside, the greens
wilt.
By the riverside, the grass
wavers cheerfully
She smiles,
knowingly yet quiet and
no complaints
This is the way the river
flows
the onrush, the stillness,
the distortion.
Dream a beautiful dream
then,
of a different riverside
Disillusion a comfort
escape from a reality,
by the riverside.

pain, the deeper in sight one reaches ; let ignorance be desired, for it
